Summer Initiation

ATO Historian

On Sunday, Delta Lambda initiated 11 new brothers into Alpha Tau Omega.  Initiation was held at Cheviot United Methodist Church courtesy of Chapter Advisor Jeff Becker.  Thank you Jeff!  Below are the names of our 11 newly initiated brothers.

Proudly Supporting Germania Society of Cincinnati

This weekend marks the annual Maifest Festival for Germania Society of Cincinnati.  With our Chapter Advisor Jeff Becker holding the Parking Director position for the event, ATOs volunteer guiding traffic in and out of the event for all three days of the event.  This is a tradition we have had for years, supporting our alumni and having a great time with brothers and look forward to every festival at Germania. 

36 Brothers Earn Dean's List Recognition

Delta Lambda is proud to announce a 3.2 Chapter GPA for the 2015 Spring Semester.  This is the highest GPA in recent history and is a direct result of hard work from every member.  At this time we would like to recognize all 36 men that are Dean's List recipients including the three men who earned a 4.0

Seniors Graduating

On May 2nd, University of Cincinnati held in Graduation Ceremony for all graduating seniors.  Delta Lambda had six seniors partaking in the ceremony, and these men are: Derek Deverna, David Essman, Andrew Knotts, Michael Mallernee, Nolan O'Brien and Branden Seder.  We will forever be grateful of all the seniors for their continual efforts to make Delta Lambda a great place to be and wish them the best of luck in future endeavors.

Tyler Hise Elected Risk Manager

With our outgoing Risk Manager joining the Navy, Delta Lambda held elections to select a new Risk Manager.  Brother Tyler Hise, a first year, was selected by the chapter for his level headed nature, kind but firm diction and willingness to to plan for the safety of all members and guests.  Congratulations Tyler Hise!

Title 9 Officer Presents at Chapter Meeting

To improve awareness of Title 9 within our chapter, University of Cincinnati's Title 9 officer Jill Schaefer attended our Tuesday meeting.  She gave a presentation on what Title 9 means for the fraternity member and answered questions from our chapter.  We are grateful for the time she took out of her day in order to better educate our chapter.

Santa J. Ono Elevation of Man Scholarship

Summer scholarship programs are essential to a successful summer recruitment program.  With the agreement of Santa Ono, we are able to provide incoming freshman the opportunity at 2 $1,000 scholarships awarded to individuals that embody core values of Delta Lambda.  We are exceptionally excited for how this scholarship will make a big difference in how we recruit at Delta Lambda.

Relay for Life with Pi Beta Phi

During Relay for Life, evey major organization on campus holds a booth that participants can partake in to pass the cold night hours of Relay.  Our event, in a partnership with the women of Pi Beta Phi, was a smores and fire pit station.  Participants and members alike paid $1 for the ingredients to make a smore and enjoy the heat of our fire pit.

Sigma Sigma Carnival

At University of Cincinnati, the annual Sigma Sigma Carnival is held to showcase student organizations in addition to providing a fun environment for students.  With this year's theme being The Master's, Delta Lambda constructed a "Finger Putt-Putt" table where participants would have to flick a golf ball around our course and hope to get under par to earn candy.

 

Delta Lambda Recognized as Most Improved Chapter

At the annual Greek Awards, Delta Lambda brought home the title of "Most Improved Chapter" for the 2014-2015 year.  With all of our new initiatives, we are proud to have earned this award.  Main efforts accredited are ATO Activity Day, bolstered academics, amplified public relations, streamlined chapter functions and increased service hours and fundraising dollars.
