Alpha Tau Omega at the University of Cincinnati.  Founded in 1922 ATO, is a leader on and off campus through our dedication to the pillars of Brotherhood, Leadership and Service.

the alpha tau omega brotherhood

Brotherhood has a special place in the heart of every ATO at University of Cincinnati.  When asked the question, why did you join ATO?  Most, if not all of our members will tell you that it is because of the brotherhood that we have at Alpha Tau Omega.  Alpha Tau Omega is home for everyone in our chapter, and we truly take that to heart.  We are family at Alpha Tau Omega and we are proud to boast the best brotherhood at University of Cincinnati.

Brotherhood Events

While the Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood is best defined by what we do for one another on an everyday basis, we regularly have large scale brotherhood events for every member to have a great day surrounded by men that truly care for one another.  Theses events include:

  • Go Bananas Comedy Club
  • University of Cincinnati Sporting Events
  • Laser Tag
  • Paintball
  • Bowling

At Alpha Tau Omega, we also believe in the smaller scale events for our brotherhood.  We call these events B.R.O. and these are close bonding session between the brothers where all participants share what is going on in their life.  The other participants then offer their advice and help.  Through these B.R.O. sessions, the true colors of the Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood can be experienced.  Everybody has one another's back and will go to the end of the Earth for the man across the room.

Big brother program

When starting out in college, there is much to learn from the basics of what to eat to how do I solve this exponential integral?  At Alpha Tau Omega, we have a Big Brother program designed to help solve these questions and assist in the first year experience.

Near the beginning of a new member's pledgeship, each new member is matched with a big who is selected based on mutual interests, life experiences and personality matching.  This relationship then blossoms as the two men get to know one another on a personal level.  The big is there to help their little through the first year and the rest of life.

As the pair gets older, the bond only gets closer between big and little.  They share more common experiences and all the while, the big does not forget their duty, assisting the little in achieving their best.  The big finds opportunities for the little to achieve at a high level in the fraternity and on campus.

By the end of their years in college, the big and little become best friends and even the best man at each other's wedding because the both of them know that they would not be where they are if it wasn't for the man that was by their side throughout their college career.
